Beautiful Gameday Weather
COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – While the dry weather may be annoyingly persistent, it makes perfect football weather for the weekend.
FRIDAY NIGHT – For high school football, weather conditions are nice and pleasant. Before the game temps will be in the upper 60’s, but by the time to head home it will already be in the mid 50’s. You might not need a jacket at the start of the night, but will definitely consider wearing it by the later hours. Clear, crisp, fall nights continue tonight.
MSU VS OKLAHOMA – If you’re heading over to Davis Wade Stadium for the Mississippi State football game, you might want to consider a hat and sunglasses. Lots of sunshine will bear down in Starkville, but temps will only warm to the upper 70’s. Dry weather continues, so that means no rain to interrupt the game, but also be extremely cautious with flames tailgating. Afterwards, temps will cool down again into the mid to upper 40’s.
START OF NEXT WEEK – By next week, not much will change in the forecast. Temps will stay in the upper 70’s with persistent dry weather. Make sure to check your county for local burn bans and be extra cautious with anything that can cause a spark.
