A calm weekend ahead

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI)- After a few stormy days this past week, get ready for calmer conditions through the weekend.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Overall, it is going to be a quiet night. Temperatures will drop into the lower 70s. There will be a chance of some patchy fog across the corner, make sure to slow down in these conditions.

FRIDAY: A nice Summer end to the week. Afternoon high temperatures will reach the lower 90s. The heat index could try to push close to 100. There will be plenty of sun and some passing clouds. In times of heavier moisture content within the clouds, isolated showers/thunderstorms could occur. This is a very isolated chance. Overnight lows will be dropping into the upper 60s.

WEEKEND: Warming back up into the middle 90s. Conditions should stay dry both days. Lots of sun with a few scattered clouds across the sky. Low temperatures will drop into the lower 70s.
