Alabama rolls out tax rebates in time for holiday shopping season

ALABAMA (WCBI) – Alabamians will have a little more spending money this Christmas shopping season.

Starting December 1, tax rebates will start being issued.

To qualify for the one-time deal, you must have filed a 2021 state Individual Income Tax return by October 17, 2022, and be an in-state resident.

$150 will be given to those who filed single, head of family, or married filing separately.

$300 will go to married couples filing jointly.

The rebates will either be directly deposited to your bank account or a paper check will be mailed.
