Aluminum Dynamics to expand its reach and jobs in Lowndes Co.

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Aluminum Dynamics announced that Columbus has been selected as the site of a recycled slab center.
According to a press release, the facility is being designed as a recycled aluminum production operation with used beverage cans expected to serve as the primary raw material to produce aluminum ingots suitable for further processing.
The $200 million project will bring 100 new jobs to the Golden Triangle.
The facility is expected to produce 180 metric tons per year.
It is expected to begin operating in the first half of 2027.
