Below Normal Temps This Weekend
COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – After days of above average temps, we’ll finally get to feel the reverse of that this weekend.
TONIGHT – Tonight will be the first of the chilly ones. After a cold front passed through during the day today, tonight’s low will get down to the low 40’s. Nothing but clear skies throughout the evening. If you’re headed to high school football games, make sure to grab a jacket or maybe even a blanket!
GAME DAY SATURDAY – The real below average temps come Saturday. Normal this time of year for the high is 70 and for the low it is 45. Saturday afternoon will only warm into the mid 60’s. Overnight, temps can cool as low as the mid 30’s. Comfortable weather for the MSU football game at least before halftime, but for Ole Miss’s night game you’ll definitely want to dress warm.
SUNDAY – The below average temps will follow into Sunday as temps stay limited to the mid to upper 60’s by the afternoon. Early that morning will feel pretty cold after a night of the mid 30’s with a potential for patchy frost. Sunday night will be another cold one as temps again lower to the mid 30’s. You might be tempted to light a campfire in this weather, but remember we are still in drought and to check your county for a burn ban before lighting any fires.
