CEO of Columbus CVB, Nancy Carpenter, announces plan to retire

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau Board will soon be looking for a new CEO.

Nancy Carpenter told WCBI she was leaving that role at the end of March 2024.

She has been CEO since January 2011.

The board will be responsible for hiring a new leader.

Carpenter also led the Columbus Cultural Heritage Foundation.

She has been honored for her work in tourism and historic preservation by local, state, and national organizations for her work in Columbus and around Mississippi.
