Contestants continue competition for title of Miss Mississippi

VICKSBURG, Miss. (WCBI) – Competition continues for the Miss Mississippi title.

38 contestants from all over the state are competing for the crown plus thousands of dollars in cash and scholarships.

Young ladies in our area have come out on top in preliminary competitions this week.

Miss MSU Anna-Katherine Thompson tied for the Talent Award. And, the Evening Gown Award went to Miss All-America City Krystle Hughes. She is a student at Ole Miss.

The new Miss Mississippi will be crowned Saturday night.

The winner will represent the state at the Miss America pageant in September.
