CREATE Foundation provides valuable experience for local students
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A partnership between local schools and The CREATE Foundation is providing valuable experience for high school seniors and also helps businesses and non profits.
Through the Frank Spain Internship Program, career coaches at area schools help find interns for local businesses. The interns are paid, and they must complete 100 hours of work during the program.
Tupelo’s Good Samaritan Health Services is part of the program. Saltillo High School Senior Miracle Hollimon has interned at the clinic this semester. She is the first intern to work at the clinic and says the experience is preparing her for the future. Miracle plans to be a doctor and gets to shadow the health professionals at the clinic.
Director Hannah Maharrey says Miracle has been a big help with the clinic’s social media and marketing efforts.
Maharrey says the intern program has many benefits for students, businesses, and especially non profits.
