Dangerous Heat

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – HOT conditions are sticking around. We will not get much relief from this heat over the coming days.

FRIDAY EVENING: Temperatures will slowly drop into the mid-70’s overnight, with calm conditions and mostly clear skies.

WEEKEND: We have heat alerts in effect for this weekend. An extreme heat warning is in effect for our northern counties, while a heat advisory is in effect for our southern counties. Actual high temperatures will be near 100 degrees, but feels like temperatures will be close to 10 degrees higher than that. Stay safe in this heat!

NEXT WEEK: Hot conditions continue into next week, with highs expected to stay in the low-100’s through the start of the week. Rain chances return to the forecast starting on Monday, with isolated showers possible each day of the week.
