Duck Hill police continue to search for killer in Saturday morning shooting

Police Chief Tyler Winter says the shooting happened about 2:40 AM.

DUCK HILL, Miss. (WCBI) – Duck Hill police continue looking for a killer after an early Saturday morning shooting.

Police Chief Tyler Winter says the shooting happened about 2:40 AM.

Officers found 31-year-old Michael Ringold in the street shot to death on Carrollton Street.

Winter says Ringold was recently the victim of a sledgehammer attack on the same street.

Ringold testified against someone in that crime.

Winter says the homicide investigation is ongoing and it is not clear if the incidents are related.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
