Election Day: Candidate Brandon Presley casts his vote at the polls

NETTLETON, Miss. (WCBI) – The man who hopes to flip Mississippi’s governor’s seat from red to blue cast his ballot in his hometown Tuesday morning.

Brandon Presley and his wife, Katelyn, voted at Nettleton’s First United Methodist Church. Presley was met by friends and family as he came to vote.

The Democratic challenger said he is confident going into Election Day and he believed his campaign resonated well with Mississippians of both political parties.

“Today is the day. We feel great about the campaign. We feel great about the fact that we will work until the last minute. I will be all over the state when I leave Nettleton this morning, and I’m proud of the campaign. I think Mississippians are ready for a change, ready to see a better Mississippi, ready to turn the page and they’re ready for a breath of fresh air,” said Presley.

WCBI will have live reports throughout the evening from Presley’s election night watch party in Jackson.
