Election day is about two weeks away, and area election officials are urging everyone to get out and vote.

Mississippi’s ballot will be a little slim, but there are U.S. House and Senate races, along with judicial races and in Lowndes County, at least one School Board race.

Lowndes County Circuit Clerk Teresa Barksdale is also reminding voters that having your registration information up to date will help speed up the process.

“You can change it with your driver’s license, but always to ensure that we have the correct address, either call our office or come by and verify that new address.”

If your address on your license and the address on the voter roll don’t match up, you may have to cast an affidavit ballot.
