Federal assistance deadline to cover damage cost from Winter Storm Fern approaches

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The deadline to apply for Federal assistance to cover costs of damages from Winter Storm Fern is fast approaching, but you still have a chance to meet with representatives in person.

Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Small Business Administration will be at the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Harmontown Substation today and Tuesday from 9 am until 4 pm to take first-time applications or help those who have already applied for assistance with questions they may have.

No appointment is necessary, and you don’t have to be a Lafayette County resident.

This will be the last opportunity to meet face-to-face with FEMA and SBA representatives before the application deadline, this Wednesday, June 10.
