Fedex Fire

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A FedEx driver was feeling extra thankful after escaping a fire on her truck Wednesday morning in Oktibbeha County.

A viewer sent us this video from the scene on Self Creek Road.

According to Oktibbeha County Fire Coordinator Patrick Warren, the driver had just started her route when other drivers flagged her down after seeing sparks coming from underneath the truck.

The flames started when she pulled off the road.

Warren said a package of ammunition on the truck began firing off as the flames spread.

The driver was not injured.

Fire investigators are still trying to determine what started the fire.
