Firefighters respond to a brush fire in Monroe Co.
MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Monroe County Volunteer Firefighters had another busy day on Monday.
The Becker-Athens VFD was called out to a brush fire on Quiet Pond Drive.
About three to four acres of heavily wooded area were involved.
Firefighters were able to get things under control in about half an hour, and there were no injuries reported.
Becker-Athens and Rural Hill also dealt with a mobile home fire on Friday.
Eight area counties have imposed burn bans due to weather conditions. So far, Monroe County has not joined them.
