Get ready for the heat

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Summer-like heat is here to stay through the end of the week. Stay hydrated and limit time outdoors during the afternoon hours.

TUESDAY: A hot and muggy day with isolated rain chances. Temperatures will climb into the low-90’s by the afternoon, with heat index values in the upper-90’s. A couple of short-lived showers are possible this afternoon, but most of us will stay dry and sunny.

WEDNESDAY: Repeat of Tuesday. Muggy conditions continue with high temperatures in the low-90’s and even warmer ‘feels like’ temperatures. Isolated showers are possible but unlikely across much of the area.

THURSDAY: Not expecting any rain on Thursday. It’ll be a classic summer day with highs in the mid-90’s and plenty of humidity. Stay cool this week!
