Golden Triangle Trigger Time is preparing to begin training with different agencies, groups, and is also open to the public

COLUMBUS, MISS – A few months ago, the City of Columbus welcomed a new business called Golden Triangle Trigger Time. It’s a new firearms training simulation building located at 882 Lehmberg Road. Richard Dye, the owner & founder of Trigger Time, made sure that he took the time needed to make sure his business was set up the way it needed to be.

“We just opened in the last couple of months,” said Dye. “It’s taken us a while to get everything built as we needed. To get our system up, we had to have technicians come in and set these screens up because they’re sensitive. So, it took us a little bit, but we’ve been open for about the last 2 months.”

Soon the training center will be used by different agencies, school districts, and church security teams in what to do in the event of an active shooter, and when to shoot and not to shoot in certain situations.

“There are several agencies that have,” said Dye. “I’m on their vendor list and then approved to start shuffling their people through for training. Several of them are all within the immediate area. Law enforcement entities, schools, things like that. I’ve got multiple churches that have signed up for their security teams also that have gone through the training or are going through training.”

Not only is this something that’ll be available to different groups and agencies, but it’ll also take bookings from individuals who want to learn all the way down to the basics of gun control and safety.

Dye also said that there’ll be other events open to the public, such as a masters of bourbon event and a palates event.
