Hot Today, Hot Tomorrow, Hot on Sunday, Too

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) — Plenty of sunshine will keep us feeling very hot through the weekend, with temperatures expected to get into the triple digits every day through Sunday.

FRIDAY: Today’s high temperature will be around 100°. Maximum heat index values will get up to around 104° in the southern half of our area, and over 105° in our northern half. These northern counties also remain under a heat advisory in effect through tomorrow at 8 p.m. Skies will be sunny all day long for today, with minimal, if any, cloud cover. Winds will be calm as well.

FRIDAY NIGHT: The low temperature for tonight will be 73°, with calm winds. Skies will be mostly clear.

SATURDAY: The high temperature will, once again, get up to 100°. Heat index values could get up to around 105°. Conditions will be sunny for most of the day, with winds out of the north at 5 mph.

With these extremely hot conditions sticking around, please make sure you take care of yourself if heading to any outdoor activities (like football!) this weekend. Wear sunscreen, get in some air conditioning when possible, and make sure to stay hydrated!
