Hottest Days to Come

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Thursday and Friday look to be the hottest days this week with temps near the mid-90’s.

TODAY – Today temps will peak in the low 90’s with a chance for some areas to feel a heat index up to 100. Around noon some showers will start to form before rain chances peak later in the afternoon. Keep in mind not all showers will be light rain, some can produce heavy rain and frequent lightning.

TOMORROW – Thursday begins the slight warm up. Temps will be near the mid 90’s and the heat index up to 103, which is close to Heat Advisory criteria. There are no current heat alerts in effect, but expect it to be a hot day with the addition of isolated afternoon showers and storms.

FRIDAY – Friday will be pretty similar to Thursday, but does have the chance to feel a little hotter. Sunshine, warm temps and afternoon showers and storms.
