Lengthy Federal prison sentences for 2 men convicted of drug trafficking in North Mississippi

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – Dealing drugs in North Mississippi nets two men lengthy Federal prison sentences.

Wednesday Spetember 9th, U.S. District Court Judge Debra Brown sentenced James Homan of Tupelo to more than 15 years in prison for possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl with intent to distribute.

The joint Federal, state, and local Homeland Security Task Force brought the case which resulted in the seizure of more than 600 grams of meth and more than 100 grams of fentanyl.

Brown also sentenced Albert Ardell Scott of Memphis to 10 years for delivering 20 pounds of meth to Marshall County, Mississippi.

Scott was running meth from Memphis to Byhalia.

Both men will also be subject to five years post-release supervison.
