Lightning possible cause in Columbus house fires
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus Fire and Rescue had its hands full Thursday evening with no fewer than 5 fires coming close behind the storm.
And the weather is being looked at as a possible cause.
It is believed that lightning may have sparked a fire at a home on Gaylane Drive in East Columbus.
The home suffered extensive damage, and it appears that most of the roof was destroyed.
