Longtime Supervisors Harry Sanders, John Holliman retire

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Lowndes County Board of Supervisors will have a new look come January.

Longtime Supervisors Harry Sanders and John Holliman both decided not to run for reelection this year.

Friends, county officials, and residents came out to help them celebrate their retirements at a reception at the Lee Home in Columbus.

Between the two of them, they have 40 years of experience in county government.

Sanders has represented District One for 24 years and served as Board President, while Holliman has served District 3 for the past 16 years.
