Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office mourns death of longtime jailer
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department is mourning the loss of a beloved longtime employee.
Pete Patrick passed away Tuesday morning after a brief illness.
He worked as a jailer at the Lowndes County Detention Center for many years and supervised the trustee program.
He also previously worked with the Columbus Police Department.
Deputies escorted Patrick’s body back to Columbus this morning.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
