Lowndes, Noxubee and Itawamba counties enact burn bans
NORTH MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) – A number of Mississippi counties in our viewing area are under bans.
Both Noxubee and Itawamba Counties enacted a burn ban Wednesday, September 23.
And Lowndes County’s ban started Friday, September 25.
All outdoor burning is prohibited during a burn ban.
That includes campfires, debris burning, fire pits, and field burning.
Anything with an open flame that produces embers is not allowed.
Things that are allowed include propane and charcoal grills and propane/gas heaters.
Other Mississippi counties under a ban include Calhoun, Monroe, Lee, Lafayette and Grenada.
