Making lemons into a lemonade stand for Lemonade Day
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – All around the Golden Triangle, many young entrepreneurs learned the importance of running a business Saturday.
Saturday was Lemonade Day in the Golden Triangle. There were 35 stands in Columbus, with several on Main Street and Highway 45, 26 in Starkville, and 44 in West Point. Many in Columbus took the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather and a refreshing treat.
Along with stands in Louisville, Ackerman, and Macon. And not only were they numerous, but they were creative. From old-fashioned lemonade to lemonade in just about every flavor. Along with treats, homemade goodies, and even their own artwork.
And if you were hungry, some stands even had wings, fried fish, Polish sausages, and hot dogs. The reasons for wanting the stand were endless.
“Cause my dad’s birthday is coming up, and I wanted to buy him a present,” Mary Fallon Wilson said.
From wanting to buy a gift for dad to saving for college to going to Disney World.
From the youngest to the oldest, Lemonade Day was a hit for everyone.
