Man charged with grooming of a child

A Kentucky man is behind bars in Lee County facing charges of child exploitation. Chad Eugene Brinkley of Ludlow, Kentucky, was picked up by the U.S. Marshals Service on warrants for two counts of grooming of a child. Investigation began when the child told a school resource officer that an online acquaintance had begun communicating in an inappropriate way. The SRO, was able to locate and preserve evidence of the communication which proved critical for Lee County sheriff’s investigators to build their case. The Easterseals, Mississippi Child Advocacy Center also provided support for the investigation. Brinkley’s bond has been set at $75,000.
