Man facing charges following incident in Starkville Walmart

A man is facing multiple charges in Starkville after a chase with police that ended inside Walmart.

JacksonSTARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A man is facing multiple charges in Starkville after a chase with police that ended inside Walmart.

Nickolas Jackson, 19, is charged with concealing a deadly weapon, simple assault by threats, disturbance of a business, felony fleeing and resisting arrest.

Investigators say the incident started Sunday morning at Sprint Mart on Highway 12 West. Jackson allegedly threatened a woman with a gun.

Officers then chased him to Walmart where he reportedly got out of the car and ran inside the store.

After a brief footchase in the store, officers arrested Jackson and recovered a gun.

No one was injured during the incident.
