Man faces murder charge in Noxubee County
Caldwell will have an initial appearance in Noxubee County Justice Court on Tuesday morning.
NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – One man is facing a murder charge after allegedly admitting to shooting and killing another man in Noxubee County.
On January 16th, the Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department received a call that someone had been shot on Valley Street in the Pineywoods area.
When deputies arrived on scene, a suspect, identified as 23-year-old Jerlaiquiss Taikun Caldwell, was arrested after allegedly admitting to the incident.
Medical staff were also on scene providing aid to the victim before taking him to the Noxubee County Emergency Room, where he later died.
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Jessie Earl Bradford Jr.
According to Noxubee County Sheriff Tedrick Liddell, Caldwell allegedly admitted to having the weapon in his hand when the gun fired. He is now being charged with murder.
Caldwell will have an initial appearance in Noxubee County Justice Court on Tuesday morning.
