Man wanted in three jurisdictions arrested in Lafayette Co.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A man wanted in three jurisdictions is given a $1 million bond after running from law enforcement.
26-year-old James Willard had active warrants in Panola County, Lafayette County, and Oxford.
On April 10, deputies, along with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and Oxford Police Department, got word that Willard was back in Lafayette County.
Willard was found to have an outstanding Felony Fleeing and Eluding warrant with Panola County, an active misdemeanor warrant for Domestic Violence- Simple Assault with Lafayette, and was a suspect in a Felony Fleeing incident with Oxford Police Department.
Oxford police located the suspect when he began to flee from police.
During the pursuit, Willard allegedly struck a Lafayette County Sheriff’s Deputy patrol vehicle.
Willard and Hayden Boyd then ran from the police.
The suspects were eventually located.
Willard is charged with Felony Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement, Conspiracy, and Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement officer.
Willard appeared before a Justice Court Judge and was given a $1 million bond.
He is currently being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center on a hold for Panola County for an active felony warrant and the Mississippi Department of Corrections for a probation violation.
