Mild afternoons continue, Saturday rain chance

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Above average temperatures stick around through the week’s end. Rain is possible Saturday as a strong Gulf low takes shape.

THURSDAY: Similar to previous days, the afternoon turns mild with highs in the middle 60s.

FRIDAY: Expect a few more clouds as a system from the Plains nudges closer. Still, the weather days dry and mild with highs back in the middle 60s.

WEEKEND: Still quite a bit of uncertainty with how our Gulf low pressure will evolve. Models have come in a little wetter for Saturday, so we’ve cautiously upped the rain chances by afternoon & evening. We still don’t expect a washout at this point, but stay tuned for further changes. Regardless, the rain should move out Sunday even as clouds may linger.

NEXT WEEK: We’ll eventually clear out and return to more seasonal December temperatures.
