JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – Even with many Mississippi State Department of Health facilities closed on Tuesday, the agency is reporting a high number of COVID-19 cases.

Per capita, Webster County has seen the second-highest amount of cases in the state over the past two weeks.

More than 372,000 people are presumed recovered from the virus in Mississippi.

This means there are about 5,900 presumed active cases in the state right now.
