Nothing “Brr” About September

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Although September usually kicks off the “Brr” months, this next week feels nothing like it.

TONIGHT – It’s going to be an uncomfortable night for high school football games. Temps will only reach the mid-70’s tonight with no concern for rain. The 80’s will be lingering for most game times.

FOOTBALL WEEKEND – College football returns this weekend with Mississippi State hosting University of Louisiana-Monroe in Starkville and Ole Miss playing Louisville in Nashville. Both games stand to be a scorcher with a Heat Advisory covering Starkville Saturday and feels-like temps in the triple digits in Nashville on Sunday. There’s a possibility for a stray shower during the MSU game, but nothing to wash it out entirely. If you’re heading out to the games this weekend, stay hydrated and take care of yourself!

NEXT WEEK – Unfortunately, the heat does not go away next week. The mid to upper 90’s will last over the next seven days with isolated rain chances towards the end of next week. Get ready for non-stop heat!
