Off and on showers Saturday, gradual clearing Sunday

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – The only rain chance in the next week moves in Saturday. Gradual clearing Sunday gives way to colder air early next week.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON: Off and on showers continue across the region, but residual dry air will limit coverage and intensity at times. Rain amounts up to a quarter inch are possible, though not likely. Temperatures will sit in the mid to upper 50s.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Most of the rain will move out of the area, but clouds will linger overnight with temperatures in the middle 40s.

SUNDAY: Gradual clearing should occur, especially by afternoon! Highs will top out in the mid to possibly upper 50s if clearing occurs sooner than expected.

NEXT WEEK: Relatively quiet weather is in store! Colder air settles in by Monday night – Wednesday as highs struggle to reach 50 degrees Tuesday. Overnight lows in the 20s are likely for several nights by mid-week. The next rain chance doesn’t look to move in until next Saturday or Sunday.
