Ole Miss introduces online course for law enforcement professionals

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – Law enforcement officers can earn a graduate certificate through a unique program at the University of Mississippi.

Beginning next spring, the university will offer a training program in evidence-based policing and reform.

The curriculum was designed for working law enforcement professionals. It’s focused on improving relationships between police and communities and will be housed in Ole Miss’ Department of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies.

The course will be delivered online and students will engage in interactive assignments, discussions, and prerecorded lecture videos.

The coursework can be completed within the two eight-week semesters.

Students who complete the program will receive a graduate certificate.
