Pleasant, mostly sunny afternoons

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Mornings stay chilly, but the afternoons will continue to shape up nicely through the end of the week.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny and pleasant! Continued high clouds from yesterday will make for stunning sunrises and sunsets – afternoon highs should reach the low 60s.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: With a mostly clear sky and calm winds, low temperatures will drop to just above freezing.  While it won’t be as cold as previous nights, frost is still likely.

THU/FRI: Highs stay in the low to mid 60s with plenty of sunshine both days!

WEEKEND: A powerhouse storm system will take shape somewhere across the Southeast & East Coast, but where it does so will dictate rain chances locally. We still look to catch the system while it’s still organizing, suggesting rain chances will be scattered and not widespread for northern MS. Rain looks much more widespread for Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas.
