“I just want to say one thing,  there are a lot of things said about Republicans about being racist, but they’re not.  I have never been welcomed more than at a Republican convention or a rally, everyone is genuine, we never felt any fakeness.  Go out and vote, and win big,” said Eddie Holt.
By five PM, the arena was full, while the overflow crowd watched on huge video screens in the parking lot.
Governor Tate Reeves, Congressman Trent Kelly and others addressed the crowd before Senator Cindy Hyde Smith took the stage.
“Everything is on the line, everything we have accomplished,  the good things with President Donald Trump, it is all at stake, control of the Senate is at stake and President Trump needs a Republican Congress to fight alongside him,” said Sen. Hyde-Smith.
The President spoke for about 90 minutes.  His remarks focused on issues such as the economy,  the war in Iran, the stock market, conservative principles, and maintaining control of Congress.
“Last time radical Democrats were in power, they gave us the worst inflation in American history,  highest energy prices , worst trade deficit, allowed 25 million people to pour across our borders, if they win the midterms they will do it all again.  Proud people of Mississippi will never let that happen,” said President Trump.
Near the end of the President’s speech, Senator Cindy Hyde Smith joined him on stage.
President Trump carried Mississippi handily in the past three presidential elections.  Senator Hyde Smith and her team are hopeful that the president’s appearance in Mississippi will make a difference at the ballot box next Tuesday.
This is the second time President Trump has campaigned for Senator Hyde Smith.   Trump headlined a rally at the Tupelo Regional Airport in 2018.  She faces Democrat Scott Colom in next Tuesday’s General Election.
