Rain chances through Friday afternoon
COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Severe storm potential continues overnight and rain chances maintain through the next few days.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Strong to severe storms will continue through the evening, as Round 2 moves SE later tonight. Our coverage area remains split between Levels 2 and 1 out of 5, with damaging wind being the highest concern. Temperatures will drop into the lower to middle 70s.
THURSDAY: Showers and storms will continue into Thursday. At this moment, severe potential is low. There will be plenty of moisture across our area. Temperatures stay pretty warm in the afternoon, though cooler than what is has been, in the lower 90s. Low temperatures will drop into the lower 70s.
FRIDAY: Isolated rounds of rain will be possible through the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the lower 90s. If rain is experienced, there will be a nice mix of sun and scattered clouds. It is going to be a nice kick-off to football season! Here come Friday night lights. Overnight lows drop into the upper 60s.
