Remembering former Aliceville City Council member Warren Edward Lavender

ALICEVILLE, Ala. (WCBI) – A former Aliceville city council member has died.
The City announced the passing of Warren Edward Lavender II, Tuesday, on Facebook.
Mayor Terrence Windham says Lavender died Sunday, June 19.
Officials say he served the city for nearly two decades, first as a council member and then as a current member of the Aliceville Water Board.
The City of Aliceville plans to lower all city flags to half-staff in honor of Lavender through Monday, July 27.
Lavender leaves behind a wife and three children.
A memorial service will be held for him at Aliceville First Baptist Church on Sunday, July 26, at 1 p.m.
