Several fire agencies respond to a house fire in Calhoun Co.

CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Several fire agencies worked to put out a house fire in Calhoun County.Around 12:45 pm on Monday, the Vardaman Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire.

Due to limited personnel, Vardaman called for backup from Southwest Fire.

Sabougla, Calhoun City, Derma, and Big Creek firefighters responded to offer help.

When assistance crews arrived on scene, firefighters were actively working.

After a combined effort, the flames were doused a short time later.
