Showers arrive Sunday morning

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – A system will bring us showers on Sunday. Once they are over, a cold front will pass in the afternoon to bring cooler temperatures and dry weather for the start of the next work week.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Some clearing overnight will give way to increasing clouds before sunrise Sunday morning. Low: 39.

SUNDAY: Spotty showers will begin around 6am and continue through the morning. They will decrease in coverage by lunchtime, leaving us with overcast skies in the afternoon. Most of us will see less than 0.10″ of rain. Some spots, especially in southern communities, could receive up to 0.20″. Highs will reach the upper-50s.

SUNDAY NIGHT: The effects of a cold front will start to be felt late Sunday night. Temperatures will fall into the mid-30s.

START OF NEXT WEEK: Below average temperatures will be common place to start next week. Highs will be in the low-50s on Monday and Tuesday with lows in the upper-20s.
