Steel Dynamics General Manager gives an update about the industry

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – As businesses continue to look for new workers and navigate gaps in the supply chain, the general manager of Steel Dynamics talked Tuesday about the future.

Dan Koewn spoke at the Columbus Rotary Club, providing a general update about the industry.

He said Steel Dynamics is one of the premiere places to work in the Golden Triangle area so they receive a lot of applications. And that means they are keeping up with their employment numbers.

He does recognize challenges in getting supplies across the nation.

“We are seeing some issues just like everyone is seeing globally so we are having some raw material issues that are causing us problems but we have been able to manage those supply chain issues to this point,” said Dan Koewen, Steel Dynamic General Manager.
