COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Our pattern will remain unchanged this week. Each day will bring hot, humid conditions along with scattered chances for showers and storms.

SUNDAY NIGHT: After quite some active weather this afternoon, conditions will be calm heading into the overnight hours. Temperatures will remain warm overnight, with lows in the mid-70’s.

MONDAY: Another hot day! Temperatures will climb into the mid-90’s by the afternoon, with heat index values up to 105 degrees due to enhanced moisture in our area. A few showers and storms are likely during the afternoon, but widespread activity is not expected.

REST OF WORK WEEK: Afternoon high temperatures will be in the mid-90’s for the rest of the week, with feels like temperatures over 100 degrees likely each afternoon. Be sure to stay cautious if you’ll be spending time outdoors this week! Scattered rain and storms are possible each day, mainly in the afternoon hours.
