Trooper involved crash in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Mississippi Highway Patrolman and an SUV crashed in east Columbus Wednesday.

The fender-bender happened on Idlewild Road and Highway 69.

MHP Troop G Public Affairs Sgt. Derrick Beckom said the crash involved a trooper and another driver.

He said the patrol car and the SUV were both traveling south on 69 when the accident happened.

Luckily, no one was injured.
