TVA seeks input on proposed natural gas plant in Caledonia

CALEDONIA, Miss. (WCBI) – The Tennessee Valley Authority is accepting public comments about a proposed natural gas plant in Caledonia.

This possible plant would have six natural gas-fired frame combustion turbines.

If approved, it would provide about 500 Megawatts of new generation power.

The site is one a piece of TVA-owned brownfield property, near Caledonia.

Public comment is open until January 19. This means you can write or email TVA about the process.

An in-person meeting will be held on January 8 at the Caledonia Community Center.
