Two caught in crossfire during Jackson gas station shooting

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – According to CBS affiliate WJTV, Jackson police are investigating after two people were caught in the crossfire during a shooting at a gas station.

The shooting occurred at the Texaco in the 4500 block of Bullard Street on June 10, 2026.

According to Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), a man and woman were caught in the crossfire after several individuals exchanged gunfire. Police said unidentified individuals were shooting from the bushes near the gas station at a man in a gray pickup truck, and he returned fire.

The injured man and woman were both shot once. Brown said they were transported to a local hospital by a personal vehicle. Their conditions are unknown.
