UPDATE: Victim of Lowndes Co. shooting has been identified
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – We now know the name of the victim who was shot and killed in a Lowndes County homicide.
Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant identified 24-year-old Kyle Rondrell Burnett.
Burnett was driving a Toyota Camry Sunday afternoon near the Alabama Stateline on Steens Vernon Road in Steens when he was shot and killed.
His body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
