West Point Junior Auxiliary coat drive: Donation deadline November 6

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – One organization is looking to keep the community warm this winter.

The Junior Auxiliary of West Point is hosting its annual coat drive.

Members are asking the community to donate new or used jackets, gloves, and hats.

The organization has found a need in the community for jackets for pre-schoolers and is accepting donations in the sizes of 2T to 5T

The donation deadline is November 6.

“Last year, we kind of partnered up with the library, which was doing a coat drive for people of all ages, and we saw the importance of people who needed to stay warm in West Point and Clay County. And this year, the ICS Headstart program reached out to us. And they serve children ages one to five and they asked for coats for their preschoolers who are aged or size 2T to 5T,” said Christine Grabbs, JA of West Point Board Member.

All donations can be dropped off at G.O. Finance.
