Aberdeen Police Name Person Of Interest In Homicide

ABERDEEN, MS ( WCBI) –  Aberdeen Police are zeroing in on an Aberdeen man as a primary person of interest in a Wednesday homicide.  Chief Henry Randle says 41 year old Charles Courtney Thompson is wanted for questioning in the shooting of 51 year old Troy Weaver.  Weaver was shot to death inside his Cullums Apartment residence before noon today.  Thompson fled the scene in a red van but it has been recovered.  Police say Thompson is  black, 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighs around 145 pounds.  Anyone with information on his location is asked to call Aberdeen Police at 369 – 6454
