Chickasaw Consolidation Bill Passes Senate With Some Changes

JACKSON, MS (WCBI)- The bill to consolidate the Superintendent position and administration  of the Okolona, Houston and Chickasaw County school districts has cleared the State Senate but with a last second change.   The measure which passed Monday would shift some students to the Amory schools.  The latest draft says students who are in the Okolona District but live in Monroe County would be moved into the Amory School district.   The bill now moves to the House.
