Video: Two More Area Athletes Sign With Division I Teams

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – Two more star area athletes signed with Division I teams Thursday.

Itawamba AHS’ Carlee Nanney signed with the Belmont University golf team. Nanney is a three-time All-State selection, was the 2014 Mississippi Class II state champion and has a top-ten finish on the American Junior Golf Association tour. She has a 4.0 GPA.

Tupelo High School’s Taylor Russell signed with the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s bowling team. The senior is a four-time Mississippi Class II state champion. Her career-best score is a 290. UAB started its Division I bowling program in 2011.
